Is Social Media Marketing for Making Money?

social_mediaHow can I make money with social networking?  Social networking is not about making money but rather its about making friends.  Yes, making money might be your end goal, but becoming a successful networking is the first step in creating continual traffic and a new stream of potential customers.  In the last few years everything is becoming more transparent and networks are becoming bigger and bigger.  For example if someone is in the real estate business there are some ways that Web 2.0 techniques can help bring more business and networking opportunities.  There are such companies including MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and many more.  Apart from these sites there are many other social networking sites that are also helpful.  Viewing the social networking sites as a great environment to meet people is the best way that they can be used.  Apart from the social networking sites, a personal blog is a great way to let people get to know you.

When there are people that you meet through social media marketing, then you can invite them to your blog or personal website to start to get to know each other.  At this point you can learn what the people coming to your blog for and if they show interest or not.  The idea is not that every first person that comes to your blog wants what you have, but is a helpful networking partner and can spread the word about your business.  By using great content, pictures, videos, images and sometimes gifts on your blog or personal website, people will be more likely to network for you or help you create a bigger network without even meaning to.

Social media networking is networking just at a more technologically advanced rate and with the capacity to reach hundreds and even thousands of people faster that can become potential clients or even just good online buddies.  Reaching out to new and potential customers through the use of social media marketing is a great first step to promoting yourself and is completely free!
